• Goal: TRACING THE PAST, DRAWING THE FUTURE

• Chinese calligraphy is one of the important research fields at WACS. Exploring and exerting its advantages, functions is the goal at this seminar.

• General topics: Chinese calligraphy and ink art and Chinese and Western education, literature, poetry; and cognitive science (psychology, philosophy, artificial intelligence, neuroscience, linguistics, anthropology, sociology and pedagogy); and three-dimensional space design , And anime; and modern architecture; and American education (primary and secondary arts and higher education), and STEAM (A Science, S Technology, M Engineering, A and M mathematics); and Zen, and Western surrealist art, etc. .

• The HORIZON OF CHINESE INK © journal, one of the publications of the World Chinese Studies Association, will be officially launched during the forum.

• WACS DAY: Mr. Kevin Rudd, Mayor of Charlotte and the President of Duke University will announce "WACS Day".

• 漢字書法是中國學研究的重要領域之一，探索和發揮其優勢、功能與作用是此次研討的主要內容。

• 大致議題包括：漢字书法与水墨艺术與中西方教育，文學、詩歌；與認知科學（心理學、哲學、人工智能、神經科學、語言學、人類學、社會學和教育學）；與三維空間設計，與動漫；與現代建築；與美國教育（中小學與高等艺术教育），與STEAM（A科學、S技術、M工程、A艺术和M數學）；與禪學，與西方超現實主義藝術等等。

• 世界中國學研究會刊物之一的《水墨視界》©（HORIZON OF CHINESE INK©）學術刊物于大會同時正式創辦。

• 世界中國學日發布（WACS DAY ）：陸克文先生、夏洛特市長以及杜克大學校長同時宣佈“世界中國學日”正式發佈，並頒發“世界中國學日”證書與紀念徽章。
